DP Series Insertion Flow Meter

FLOMEC® DP Series Insertion meters use a paddlewheel design to measure the flow of water, fuels, and other low-viscosity liquids in pipe sizes from 1.5" to 100" (10 - 2500 mm). DP Series insertion meters are a versatile and economical solution for measuring flow in large pipes, offering moderately accurate readings at a very low cost of ownership.

With a simple and reliable design that uses only two moving parts, these meters provide long service life and reduced maintenance costs.

SIZES & FLOW RATES

The FLOMEC® DP490 is exceptionally suited for measuring water flow in pipe sizes up to 36" (900 mm), where the installation cost is more critical than extreme accuracy. In these situations, the DP490 can be a perfect alternative to an electromagnetic meter or a clamp-on ultrasonic, achieving highly repeatable results with ±1.5% accuracy at a fraction of the cost of alternative technologies.

The DP490 is also suitable for measuring any low-viscosity liquid in large pipes, such as fuels and solvents. The intrinsically safe display options on the DP490 allow installation in any IECEx or ATEX area.

The ability to install the DP525 in a "hot tap" configuration allows for removal and ball-valve isolation of the DP525 from the process line. This enables the user to use a single meter for monitoring various pipes or to service the product without shutting down the pipe. This capability further reduces the cost of metering a large-diameter pipe. The DP525 is also suitable for measuring any low-viscosity liquid in large pipes, such as fuels and solvents.
