There is no defined life span of a filter. Filters should be replaced once you begin noticing a decrease in flow rate. Filter life span is affected by the cleanliness of the fuel that goes through it. 

Filters can be mounted horizontally. You must use caution when changing filters and do your best to flush the system as there will be fuel in the filter that will spill when removed.

All GPI filters are rated for up to 50 PSI. This information is located on the side of the filter as well.

No. GPI does not offer any filters for aviation fuel.

First note what size the filter port thread of your filter is. This information is located on the side of the filter. GPI offers either a 1 – 12 UNF, 1-3/8 – 12 UNF, or a 1-1/2 – 16 UNF. Then find the appropriate filter adapter that matches your thread pattern.

P = Filtration Type, P is Particulate, PW is Particulate & Water Guard
18 = Flow rate in GPM filter is rated for
10 = Filter micron
1 = Thread pitch, 1 is 1 - 12 UNF, 1 3/8 is 1 3/8 - 12 UNF, & 1 1/2 is 1 1/2 - 16 UNF
