DID YOU KNOW?
You can extend your G2 turbine flow meter’s temperature range
Expanding the Temperature Range of Your Turbine Flow Meters
Simple configuration options to push GPI G2 performance beyond the standard limits
Extend G2 (and select A1) temperature capability with batteries, risers, remote displays, or access modules.
"Did You Know?"
there are several ways to extend that range?
Our G2 stainless steel series has been a trusted choice at Great Plains Industries for years—thanks to its accuracy, repeatability, FM Approval, and modular design that adapts to a variety of applications. These meters typically operate within a temperature range of +0°F to +129°F (-18°C to +54°C).
Many of these options also apply to our G2 Aluminum, G2 PVDF, and A1 series meters.
- Upgrade Batteries:
Replace AA alkaline batteries with Energizer L92 Lithium batteries for a boost up to +140°F (+60°C). - Add a High Temp Riser (Part #125527-01):
Extend up to +210°F (+99°C). Our high-temp flow meters include this riser by default.
Tip: Lithium batteries in the Q9 Display can add an extra 10°F (6°C) to the upper limit of the “Usable Combination” range. - Check the graph below for detailed combinations.

- Remote Mount the Display (Part #113275-10):
Move the display away from heat to achieve a full range of -40°F to +250°F (-40°C to +121°C). - Install a 4-20 mA/Pulse Access Module (Part #125100-10):
For G2 stainless steel only, this option increases the upper range to +185°F (+85°C).
Tip: Lithium batteries in the Q9 Display can add an extra 10°F (6°C) to the upper limit of the “Usable Combination” range. - Check the graph below for detailed combinations.
