WES SHOCKEY

Product support team member Wes Shockey is no stranger to the fuel industry. Before joining Great Plains Industries, he worked in the field for four years on all makes and models of pump and tank combos and gas station fuel dispensers. It should come as no surprise then, that the workings of a pump come most naturally to him. With over ten years of experience, Wes has a lot of advice and insight into the pump and meter industry.

In his free time, Wes is a big outdoorsman: he loves to hunt and fish, but he also likes to play video games and watch football, as well as spend time cooking with his daughter and wife. Troubleshooting must be part of his nature because he also likes to teach his teenage son how to work on cars and do home remodeling projects.

TYLER WEBER

Tyler Weber uses his experience as a trainer in production at Great Plains Industries to best serve his customers. He feels his production experience has given him a wide array of knowledge to call on, making him a well-rounded part of the team. He comes to our team with a background in structural assembly at Spirit AeroSystems and has brought all of this combined knowledge to his position on the product support team.

A member of the team since 2017, Tyler most enjoys helping customers. To be specific, he really enjoys teaching those who are out in the field how to troubleshoot and get products up and running quickly. It brings Tyler great satisfaction when he can successfully help solve a problem.

In his free time, Tyler enjoys the outdoors – camping and fishing. He is a St. Louis sports fan, favoring the St. Louis Cardinals and The Blues. He likes to lift weights and can juggle!  Tyler and his wife have a golden miniature dachshund named Zoey.

MATT LOGAN

Product Support Manager Matt Logan has been a Great Plains Industries employee for 23 years! Matt has experience in product support and customer service, along with plumbing experience in the water filtration industry prior to joining our team.

Here at Great Plains, we think his real skill is getting anyone to laugh, but he is also pretty good at troubleshooting and solving problems. Matt loves it when someone calls in expecting no help, then is truly shocked that Matt or another support team member was able to quickly fix the problem over the phone.

Matt loves the outdoors and will go camping during any time of the year. He built a Timber Frame home in less than a year while working full-time (it’s still standing, he tells us), so it should come as no surprise that he loves to fix and build things! He is also a long-time Kansas City Chiefs fan, even during the ugly years.

Married to his beautiful wife of 35 years, Matt has two children, three granddaughters, and a dog that is older than him – yes, he likes jokes!

Matt brings to our team a wealth of knowledge, years of experience, and a contagious cheerful, optimistic attitude.

RANDY MCDONALD

Randy McDonald has been with Great Plains Industries for seven years, following seven years as a fuel technician, installing and supporting various fuel and fuel-related systems and twelve years troubleshooting and supporting avionics and electrical systems on Learjet and Cessna aircraft. That’s a lot of fueled experience!!

Because of his previous experience he is great with pumps and fuel systems. And because he has previous technical experience, he provides strong support for our meter products. Randy’s favorite part of the job is helping people. We have customers and end users of all types and of all product knowledge levels – getting them to a solution quickly and easily is satisfying!

With Randy’s awesome hair, it should come as no surprise that he played on six internationally released albums by a respected, but “underground” heavy metal band. He still plays - whether it is drums, guitar or keyboards – everyday! Keep rockin’ it, Randy!

JULIO GUTIERREZ

International Product Support Specialist Julio Gutierrez has been working at Great Plains Industries since May 2022. He came to the company with warehouse experience and was hired as a line server where he familiarized himself with parts, then eventually moved into the shipping department. Now working as a product support representative, there have been a lot of doors opened to more learning opportunities - he is glad to have these opportunities!

Julios is knowledgeable in the international aspects of customer support. He really enjoys helping a large number of international partners and customers. He says,

“It’s kind of cool meeting people from all around the world.”

A U.S. Army veteran who served for five years, Julio loves spending time with his wife and two children, Viridianna and Samuel. He enjoys playing video games and watching soccer and football – he is a huge Chivas De Guadalajara fan and a Dallas Cowboys fan (even though they disappoint him every year).

SCOTT BONSE

Scott Bonse is one of the newer Product Support team members, logging in about 18 months at this point. Although he doesn’t have a prior background in fuel transfer pumps or meters, he has worked in service troubleshooting, sales and customer support for various industries. Scott has an associate degree in electronics and loves to work with anything electronic in nature, although, he says he does know how a screwdriver works! It should come as no surprise that in his free time, Scott enjoys flying his RC aircraft – large scale models with wing spans of 52-120 inches with gas engines sized from 30 to 170cc.

Scott’s position in product support focuses mainly on our FLOMEC meter portfolio, answering technical questions and troubleshooting but he also helps on the GPI/GPRO portfolio covering the phones. His favorite part of the job is helping people work through a challenge. He is technical by nature, so problem solving is something he likes to do. Scott is a valuable part of our team!

GRETCHEN MADDOX

Gretchen Maddox, our EDI specialist, has been at Great Plains Industries for a year and a half. She comes to us with 9 previous years of customer service experience. Gretchen deals primarily with business accounts, whether managing manual or EDI orders. Her favorite thing about her job is the company culture.

In her free time, Gretchen enjoys lifting weights – and can be seen many days leaving at lunch to visit the GPV gym - and spending time with her family, friends and two dogs and cats!

BRIAN HARDING

Brian Harding is Great Plains Industries' resident electronic data exchange expert, with time that includes working as an inside sales representative, product support supervisor and currently as the EDI process manager. A member of the product support team for 14 years, his workday involves managing the EDI order process, supporting the call center, manually entering purchase orders and responding to emails. Brian’s favorite part of his job is that he is constantly learning, and no day is the same. Whether he is working through EDI processes, troubleshooting a product issue or providing a recommendation for a new application, each day brings new challenges.

Brian has a professional background that includes twenty-four years in the customer service field while working in the manufacturing and printing industries. He was first introduced to pumps and meters while assigned to the engineering department during his enlistment in the Navy.

While away from work, Brian enjoys reading, working in the yard and watching sports. He and his wife enjoy watching movies, going to new restaurants and attending NASCAR and NHRA events.
