5 Benefits to Choosing the GPI G20 12V DC Fuel Transfer Pump

The G20 is a 12‐volt DC fuel transfer pump with a true flow rate of 20 gallons per minute (76 L/min). The new modular design is compatible with Quick-Fit Modular filter and meter accessories to provide simple leak-free assembly.

The G20 is engineered to meet international safety standards and is approved for use with diesel (up to B20), gasoline, ethanol blends (up to E15), and kerosene. This is an excellent choice for mobile fuel transfer applications such as truck bed mounted tanks or fuel trailers.

Let’s take a look at some of the benefits that come with choosing the G20 12 volt fuel transfer pump.

1. Lasting Durability

The G20 has been carefully crafted with long-term performance in mind. It features a diecast aluminum housing that is both lightweight and extremely durable so that it can withstand extensive use without compromising functionality.

The G20 doesn’t stop there when it comes to durability. It has two additional features that ensure your pump will last:

  1. Rotary gear design: made of an engineering grade composite polymer and allows for fewer moving parts and less friction on components increasing pump life.
  2. Circuit breaker protection: Prevents the pump from overheating to extend pump life.

If you need more proof that the GPI G20 can stand up in the long-term against competitors, in tests from an independent lab, GPI pumps run up to 3x longer than competing products with unmatched product performance.

The G20 12V DC Fuel Transfer Pump only weighs 19 lbs. and will be ready to roll when you are for years to come without rusting, corroding or wearing out.

2. Leak-Free Design

A lot of pumps out there are prone to leaking – not the G20.

The G20 12V DC Fuel Transfer Pump comes with Quick-Fit Modular connection points that make attaching accessories fast. The eco-friendly, no-leak flange and O-ring help to eliminate threaded pipe leaks.

Remember the high-quality, rustproof aluminum we were just talking about? Rust eats away at metal and can cause holes in which the fuel can escape – with the G20’s diecast aluminum housing, this becomes a non-issue.

In addition, there is low-stress on the tank which further prevents leaking and helps maintain high performance.

Fuel transfer pumps should always perform as well as the day you bought them and that means they should never leak. We have made sure to engineer the G20 with this in mind.

3. Fast Fueling

Flow rate is important to consider when buying a fuel transfer pump. The higher the flow rate, the faster it can fill your equipment and the sooner you can get back to work.

The G20 delivers a true flow rate of 20 gallons per minute (76 L/min) when equipped with a 14‐foot hose and automatic shut-off nozzle. Most manufacturers advertise flow rates which are measured at the pump outlet. However, the fluid being transferred will still need to be pushed through accessories like the hose and nozzle, producing a lower flow rate.

The G20’s flow rate was measured after attaching a 14-ft. hose and automatic shut-off nozzle, ensuring the “true 20” GPM.

4. Fast Installation

The G20 is quicker and easier to install than competing pumps. Simple four-bolt connections allow accessories to be mounted in multiple directions. The spin collar tank adapter and factory-installed power cord also make getting the G20 12V DC Fuel Transfer Pump up and running with ease.

Pipe sealant and thread tape are both recommended for pump installation but not required. You can also easily attach a filter, meter or both to build a custom system with accessories.

5. Limited Lifetime Warranty

We back up our product with a limited, lifetime warranty and GPI’s stellar, U.S. based product support department, available to help resolve any problem and make it right as quickly as possible.
